"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. From the very beginning, Satan launched his attack against the family. Original
sin led to a rift between the first man and the first woman. The road humanity has traveled has been a gradual decline from morality to individualism and moral relativism which have given way to hedonism and all sorts of perversions that even now are being thrust upon our children.
In the beginning “God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female He created them… The Lord God then built the rib that He had taken from the man into a woman. When He brought her to the man, the man said: ‘This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man this one has been taken.’ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body.” (Genesis 1:27; 2:22-25). This defined marriage. God commanded the man and woman to pacify the earth and to be fruitful and multiply. His intention was for a harmonious existence within the world He created.
Today, we have anything but a harmonious existence. We have marriage redefined by governments to include same sex liaisons.
We have burgeoning divorce rates, people cohabitating without lifelong commitments, children brought up in single parent homes or homes led by two people of the same sex. It wasn’t all that long ago that sodomy and the corruption of minors were considered a crimes, and homosexuality was defined in the International Diagnostic Codes as a psychological disorder. And now, even incest is being given consideration as a legal arrangement under the euphemism of genetic attraction.
With the advent of the pill, and the sexual revolution and drug culture of the 1960’s, Blessed Pope Paul VI warned of the objectification of humanity. How true his prophesy was. People are judged by their ability to fulfill needs. Their usefulness is questionable as abortion on demand allows the killing of children who are all but born (partial birth abortion) and euthanasia (assisted suicide) allows the disposal of human beings who have become a burden to themselves, others, society… What began as a search for pleasure and convenience has now become a culture of death, lies and deceit, and oh, how gradually it has come upon us.

First it was legislation defining hate speech and requiring tolerance of homosexual behavior in public. Then it was the redefinition of marriage and the attacks on those who would not provide their talents and services to persons wanting to celebrate their same-sexed unions. The legal battles resulted in some people losing their businesses, jobs and even their homes because they stood for the moral teachings of their faith. It continued with the passage of the Affordable Care Act and its Health and Human Services Mandate requiring organizations to provide contraceptives, abortafacients and abortion services in the name of reproductive rights and under the euphemism of women’s health care, threatening crippling fines for those who refused to do so on religious grounds.
Now comes transgenderism, and the invasion of privacy in restrooms and locker rooms,
not to mention the potential for sexual predation, which has already occurred. Ignoring biological sex for “personal preference,” is not only being thrust upon us, there is now an initiative to remove reference to gender from our speech, as if that will change the physical biological reality. Universities have set policies in the name of not offending anyone by calling them male or female, Mr. or Mrs. or even Ms. Early school curricula feature a unicorn-like creature having the attributes of both sexes to introduce young children to the idea you can be whatever sex you feel you are regardless of what your biological attributes are.
And the gradual brainwashing of children insidiously in schools, where even the littlest children are introduced to “alternative lifestyles and families,” under the guise of tolerance and diversity. Indeed, a recent move by the United Nations pushes a programs called Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) targeting children in kindergarten. Judith Reisman, Ph.D., Director of Liberty Child Protection Center, Liberty University School of Law stated, “In the name of sexuality education children are seeing obscene materials that have been ruled by Congress and by the Supreme Court impossible to show to children.” According to Robert Richie, America Needs Fatima, “The CSE program is essentially a training of children in hard core pornography.” Kristine Swarts, Power2Parent, (Nevada) warned, “They are giving them handouts negotiating sexual encounters with other students. For example, there are statements like this: ‘Can I take your shirt off?’ ‘It makes me hot when you touch me here.’ ‘Is it OK if I take my pants off?’”
“Much of the material, with explicit images in kid-friendly, cartoony style, is morally filthy, showing male and female private parts and ways to derive sexual pleasure from sexual self-abuse and other mortally sinful behaviors, natural and unnatural,” Mr. Richie wrote in an email on CSE, and warned that the US is on the UN hit list with another program largely created by the International Planned Parenthood Federation called “It’s All One Curriculum: Guidelines and Activities for a Unified Approach to Sexuality, Gender, HIV, and Human Rights.”
This program calls for children to collaborate on a “short skit involving an intimate relationship — married, male–female unmarried, or same-sex couple.” It provides a worksheet on Sexual Desire for the children with questions about male and female genitalia in arousal, and “sexual fantasies.” It also presents case studies on homosexuality to children to encourage them to empathize with them. And its goal is as evil as it is simple: Get the children, control the future.
In his book, Render Unto Caesar, Archbishop Charles Chaput, OFM Cap. exhorts Christians to live our faith in the public square. Is this not the time to take a stand and speak up for the dignity of persons and against the objectification of humanity?
